Animal Spirits

Animal Spirit

This was a lot of fun for me because I really did take a bit of time trying to be thoughtful and considerate when picking the spirit animals for the crew here at the salon.  I based it mostly off their dominate characteristics and some off their appearance (this is where the considerate part comes in).

Some loved their choice, others didn't. It was important to show that it was who they were in reality, so I did my best to be unbiased.

I also wanted to keep it challenging by limiting the animals to North America. Here's what I came up with:

Justus Kerr

Raccoons are highly intelligent and creative. They also are very entertaining and can easily find themselves getting into situations which they always manage to navigate.  They are also tight family creatures that work well in teams.

Dottie Vee

Badgers are spunky and hard working creatures that get it done in what ever conditions. Fearless and works in family groups or can be fine by themselves.

Mari Martinez

The robin is best known for it's plummage and brilliant colors. These bright colors are a reminder to get alert, get moving and start enjoying life. This bird is a steadfast worker and quick to jump on an opportunity when presented with one.

Gia Iantuono

The crane is a symbol of happiness and eternal youth and represents good fortune and health. They are at home in large flocks or living a solitary life.

Melia Mearns

The tortoise represents steadfast diligence to keeping the course. They also represent wisdom and longevity.

Valentina Spatola

Antelope are finely attuned to the herd, and the herd is always on the move. Antelopes are playful, nomadic, sensitive, and telepathic.

Stormi Nichole

The deer spirit animal is able to bring gentleness and grace into every aspects of life, even in the most challenging moments.

Dee Riccardi

Otter symbolism is married to the idea of play, joy and having fun. A group of otters is called a "romp" for good reason.

Mandy Tieman

The Buffalo is a symbol of abundance and manifesting goals. People with this totem are unafraid, often unpredictable, and willing to meet a challenge.

Mica Jade

When the squirrel comes into our lives it is often a message for us to have more fun, and take life a little less seriously.

Nicole Vigna

The horse is a symbol of hard work, loyalty and freedom. They also represent a message carrier.

Bunnys are highly social animals, displaying genuine feelings of happiness and affection. Things happen fast for them and moving is essential.

Tammy Ciana

Magpies are symbolic of illusion and perception. The magpie's message here is that not all things are what they appear to be, and we should not set our judgements in stone. Further, this aspect of the magpie is a message that we do not have to be bound to perceptions. A magpie symbolic meanings are as diverse and colorful as the magpie herself.

I asked everyone else what would be mine and somewhat of a consensus was the wolf. Considering my grandmothers maiden name was Wolfe, I found it to be appropriate.

Strong connection with your instincts or intuition. High intelligence. Loyalty and communication.
